Champagne is good for the health

Well it is finally official. According to the British Journal of Nutrition research scientists from Reading University have found that Champagne is as useful to our health as are red wines. Apparently it contains polyphenol antioxidants whcch are assumed to reduce the impact of self damaging free radicals in the body. Apparently the antioxidants reduce reduce the levels of nitric oxide from the blood, therefore reducing blood pressure and the possibility of heat disease.

They conclude that a couple of glasses per day can be of great benefit to our health.

According the the report, cheaper alternatives such as Cava and Prosecco can also do the trick.

Champagne is made from two black grape varieties: Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and oen white grape: Chardonnay.
