Vendange Tardive - Hugel Riesling 2001

A great speciality of the Hugel family for many generations, these wines are produced from grapes which have over-ripened on the vine, and are picked much later than the normal harvest. The action of "noble rot" (botrytis) gives these wines almost unlimited ageing potential.

 Characteristic bouquet, bringing together lively citrus aromas of pink grapefruit and citronella, backed by floral fragrances and a touch of minerality.

Perfect with a fresh fruit tart, chicken in lemon, or with meat or fish in sweet and sour sauces.
