"The 2007 Casalferro is another wine that is well-made from a technical standpoint, but that shows little real character. Dark fruit and French oak are very nicely balanced, but more should have been possible in this important Tuscan year. I tasted the Casalferro from a 500ml bottle designed for professional tastings. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015."

"Exhibits blackberry and violet aromas and flavors, with plenty of new wood underneath. Full-bodied, with slightly chewy tannins, followed by an aftertaste of dried cherry and berry. A bit gritty. Best after 2011. 2,300 cases made." –JS
