"A blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 2009 Coleraine takes time to unfurl with nascent aromas of blackberry, dark chocolate, a touch of sloe and liquorice. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, quite austere tannins. It is a little brutish at the moment but the finesse is there on the long, languid finish. The 2009 is a masculine Coleraine with great intensity and promise for the future."
