The Bordeaux Wine region is widely debated as a producer of the world's finest red wines. It is renowned for deep, velvety reds (otherwise as claret); elegant, dry whites and deliciously sweet dessert wines. Vast hectares (over 120,000) of vines are planted throughout the region, making it one of largest and the most successful wine regions in the world.
