Wine Spectator 90 points
Raisiny and very sweet, with plum and prune aromas and flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, with a slightly hot finish, but should come around nicely. '91/'92 Port retrospective. Drink now through 2014.

Slightly dull crimson. Smudgy, indistinct nose with a hint of violets and something vegetal about it too. Very sweet start then drying tannins – not a well-melded whole. Hot finish. A rather uncomfortable wine. Not pure, but perhaps it just needs time? Certainly there is no shortage of tannins.
